About the position
A career within Corporate Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. You'll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. You'll also help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as providing advice on tax implications of deals. Our team helps our clients improve their tax function to control risk and facilitate better decision making. You'll focus on helping businesses with tax strategy, ensuring tax compliance, increasing post tax profits, and providing application support to achieve the best corporate tax practices. Responsibilities
- Participate in select phases of tax compliance engagements
- Research tax laws, rules/regulations and analyze their application to specific situations
- Demonstrate creative thinking and individual initiative while working as a team member, building solid relationships with team members
- Proactively seek guidance, clarification and feedback
- Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks while exercising professional skepticism
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting
- Required cumulative GPA: 3.0
- 0 years of experience
Nice-to-haves
- Client service intern positions are entry-level and job seekers are traditionally either in their 3rd year of a 4 year degree program or in the 4th year of a 5 year program
- Meet all educational requirements to be eligible for the primary credential license appropriate for relevant practice area, such as meeting all educational requirements to satisfy the 150 credit hour requirement necessary for the CPA license
- Demonstrates basic abilities and/or a proven record of success in researching and analyzing tax laws, rules and regulations
- Interacting with various levels of client and firm management through both written and verbal communications
