About the position

A career within Corporate Tax services at PwC provides an opportunity to assist clients in meeting their tax obligations while managing the impact of tax on their business operations. As part of this role, you will advise clients on both local and international tax matters, acting as a strategic consultant in areas such as business analysis, working capital management, and profit sharing for partners. You will also help organizations understand the pricing implications of goods and services exchanged between related parties, as well as provide guidance on the tax implications of various deals. Our team is dedicated to enhancing our clients' tax functions to mitigate risks and facilitate informed decision-making. Your focus will be on developing tax strategies, ensuring compliance, increasing post-tax profits, and providing application support to implement best practices in corporate tax. As an Intern/Trainee, you will collaborate with a team of problem solvers to tackle complex business challenges from strategy to execution. In the core tax practice, your role will involve participating in various phases of tax compliance engagements, researching tax laws and regulations, demonstrating creative thinking and initiative, building strong relationships with team members, seeking guidance and feedback proactively, and managing tasks flexibly while exercising professional skepticism.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in select phases of tax compliance engagements.
  • Research tax laws, rules/regulations and analyze their application to specific situations.
  • Demonstrate creative thinking and individual initiative while working as a team member, building solid relationships with team members.
  • Proactively seek guidance, clarification and feedback.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks while exercising professional skepticism.

Requirements

  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree in Accounting.
  • Required cumulative GPA: 3.0.
  • Client service intern positions are typically for students in their 3rd year of a 4-year degree program or in the 4th year of a 5-year program.
  • Before starting full-time, meet all educational requirements to be eligible for the CPA license in the relevant state.
