About the position

The Tax Manager position is a full-time, remote role within a leading public accounting firm that specializes in providing accounting, tax, and business consulting services to mid-sized clients across various industries. The role focuses on managing tax preparation for corporate, individual, and trust returns, while also supporting the growth of the tax practice. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in public accounting and a strong ability to manage client relationships and expectations.

Responsibilities

• Manage tax preparation for Corporate, Individual, and Trust returns.
• Perform tax research and resolve complex tax issues.
• Oversee and mentor junior staff in tax-related tasks.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Assist in the development of tax strategies for clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA or EA certification is required.
• 5+ years of tax accounting experience with a public accounting firm.
• Experience as a Tax Generalist managing tax preparation of Corporate, Individual & Trust returns.
• At least 3 years of experience in a Supervisor/Manager level position in public accounting.
• Strong ability to manage client expectations and grow client relationships.

Nice-to-haves
