About the position

The Tax Manager position is a full-time, remote role within a leading public accounting firm, focusing on providing tax services to mid-sized clients across various industries. The role involves managing tax preparation for corporate, individual, and trust returns, while also supporting the growth of the tax practice and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in public accounting and a strong understanding of multi-state tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage tax preparation for Corporate, Individual, and Trust returns.
• Oversee and mentor junior staff in tax-related tasks.
• Conduct tax research and resolve complex tax issues.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Support the growth of the tax practice through client development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA or EA certification is required.
• 5+ years of tax accounting experience with a public accounting firm.
• Experience as a Tax Generalist managing tax preparation of Corporate, Individual & Trust returns.
• At least 3 years of experience in a Supervisor/Manager level position in public accounting.
• Strong ability to manage client expectations and grow client relationships.
