About the position

The Tax Manager will oversee all aspects of tax planning, consulting, and compliance for clients, managing a team of tax professionals to ensure high-quality service delivery. This role requires a strong background in small business consulting and individual tax return preparation, along with the ability to develop strategies that minimize tax liabilities for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies for clients to minimize tax liability
  • Provide tax consulting services to clients on various tax-related issues
  • Prepare and review individual and business tax returns
  • Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals
  • Conduct cost segregation studies to identify potential tax savings for clients
  • Sign tax returns as a designated tax professional
  • Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations
  • Assist with business valuation for tax purposes
  • Utilize Quickbooks for tax planning and preparation
  • Prepare financial statements for clients

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in tax planning and compliance
  • Experience in small business consulting and individual tax return preparation
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
  • CPA credential required
  • Experience with cost segregation studies and business valuation preferred
  • Proficiency in Quickbooks and financial statement preparation
  • Excellent communication and client management skills
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
