About the position

Anglin Reichmann Armstrong, P.C. is seeking a Tax Manager Accountant to join our expanding Tax Advisory Group in Winter Haven, Florida. The Tax Advisory team specializes in providing comprehensive tax planning and advisory services, tax preparation, compliance, and consulting services to a diverse range of clients, including individuals and corporations facing complex tax issues. Our focus spans various industries, including Government Contracting, Construction and Real Estate, Manufacturing, and Health Care, and we are committed to helping our clients achieve their financial goals through effective tax strategies. As a Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and international tax laws and regulations. Your responsibilities will include preparing and filing tax returns for various entities, developing tax strategies to minimize liabilities, and providing advisory services on tax-efficient restructuring and incentives. You will also conduct detailed tax research, document tax positions, and perform complex reconciliations of the general ledger. Additionally, you will prepare and analyze financial statements for tax purposes, mentor junior staff, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their tax needs and financial goals. This role requires a proactive approach to client service and a commitment to staying updated on tax law changes to provide the best possible guidance to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and international tax laws and regulations by preparing and filing tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
  • Develop tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize cash flow for clients or the organization.
  • Provide advisory services on tax-efficient restructuring, tax credits and incentives, and international tax strategies.
  • Conduct detailed tax research to support tax compliance and strategy decisions, documenting and justifying tax positions.
  • Perform complex reconciliations and write-ups of the general ledger, identifying and resolving discrepancies while providing guidance to junior staff.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for tax purposes, including adjusting financial statements and calculating tax provisions.
  • Mentor junior staff members, providing guidance, training, and support to help them develop their skills.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their tax needs and financial growth goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-6 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm.
  • CPA, Enrolled Agent, or seeking CPA certification.
  • Strong communication, technical, and management skills.
  • Ability to delegate tasks, work in a team, and train staff members.
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with preparation and review of complex federal and state income tax returns.
  • Multi-state corporate return experience.
  • Basic tax knowledge including Individual, Corporate, Pass-Through Entities, Tax Research Skills, Tax Planning & Advisement.
  • Knowledge of trends and developments in tax laws.

Nice-to-haves
