About the position

As a Tax Manager at our small to mid-sized CPA firm located in North Chelmsford, you will play a crucial role in our team of ten professionals. This position offers a friendly and positive working environment where you will have the opportunity to grow and potentially become a partner in the firm. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing various tax returns, conducting tax research, and assisting clients with tax planning. You will be expected to stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to provide the best guidance to our clients. Collaboration with clients to gather necessary financial information and maintaining strong client relationships will be key aspects of your role. Excellent customer service is paramount as you will be the point of contact for clients regarding their tax-related matters.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 1120-S, 990.
  • Conduct tax research and stay updated on current tax laws and regulations.
  • Assist clients with tax planning and provide guidance on tax-related matters.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information.
  • Maintain client relationships and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Business tax preparation.
  • CPA license preferred or master's in taxation.
  • Proficiency with CCH Tax software.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
  • Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office and Adobe.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
