The Global Payroll Operate practice at EY focuses on helping clients effectively manage their global payroll needs proactively and responsibly in over 150 countries. This role is centered around providing clients with integrated, consistent, quality service that unlocks the potential of the payroll function across the entire process. As a Manager in Payroll Operate focused on implementation, you will lead global payroll implementations, supervise the design and transition to new global payroll operate models for medium and large clients, and drive continuous innovation in payroll solutions. You will be responsible for managing project escalations, utilizing global methodology payroll leading practices, and providing thought leadership development. Your role will also involve coaching and mentoring junior implementation team members, supporting the sales process related to central implementation, and identifying opportunities to improve project delivery tools and templates. This position requires strong project management skills, analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global payroll implementations for medium to large clients.
  • Supervise the design and transition to new global payroll operate models.
  • Drive continuous innovation and enhance project delivery tools.
  • Manage project escalations and refer to senior implementation team members as needed.
  • Utilize global methodology payroll leading practices throughout the implementation life cycle.
  • Coach and mentor junior implementation team members.
  • Support the sales process related to central implementation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project delivery tools and templates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and relevant post-graduate qualification, preferably in Sciences, Business, or Finance.
  • Eight or more years of relevant payroll project and/or project management experience.
  • Experience with large HR and Payroll implementation projects working with major technology vendors such as ADP, Oracle, SAP, Workday.
  • Strong analytical abilities and knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent managerial, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Project management experience with large HR/Payroll projects.
  • Candidates with active PMP certification are strongly preferred.
