About the position

The Tax Manager position within the Private Client Services (PCS) Group is responsible for providing federal tax compliance and planning services to high-net-worth individuals and privately-held businesses. This role involves close collaboration with firm leadership, contributing to business development, and fostering team development, all while ensuring high-quality service delivery to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide federal tax compliance and planning services to high-net-worth individual clients and privately-held businesses.
  • Collaborate closely with firm leadership to drive business development initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Manage client relationships and expand services to existing clients.
  • Attract new clients and develop strategies to meet their tax needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Master's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
  • CPA certification with 5+ years of experience in federal tax compliance, planning, and consulting at a public accounting firm.
  • Technical knowledge sufficient to sell and execute engagements in multiple industries.
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop a team.
  • Strong relationship management and practice development skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with high-net-worth individuals and privately-owned businesses.
  • Knowledge of investment partnerships, estates, and trusts.
