The Tax Manager/Sr. Tax Manager/Director position at a regional CPA firm involves overseeing multiple tax engagements and providing comprehensive tax compliance, research, and consulting services for corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns. The role requires effective leadership of a team of tax specialists and the development of tax planning strategies for a diverse client base, including middle market clients. Additionally, the position entails researching complex domestic and international tax issues and fostering client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Direct multiple tax engagements and assume full responsibility for their execution.
• Provide tax compliance, research, and consulting services for corporate, partnership, and individual returns.
• Oversee and guide a team of tax specialists in delivering tax services.
• Initiate and present effective tax planning strategies for middle market clients.
• Research and report on trends and developments in complex domestic and international tax issues.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and new clients.

Requirements

• CPA certification is required.
• Minimum of five to seven years of experience in public accounting.
• Heavy experience with tax review processes.
• Broad experience with various taxation types including Individual, Partnership, S-Corp, C-Corp, and High Net Worth (HNW) taxation.
• At least two years of experience as a tax manager.
• Experience with Trusts & Estates taxation is a plus.
