The Tax Manager / Sr. Tax Manager position at a regional CPA firm involves overseeing multiple tax engagements, providing comprehensive tax compliance and consulting services to a diverse clientele. The role requires strong leadership skills to guide a team of tax specialists and the ability to develop effective tax planning strategies for middle market clients. Additionally, the position entails researching complex tax issues and building client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for directing multiple engagements.
• Provide clients with Tax Compliance, Research, and Consulting for corporate, partnership, and individual returns.
• Provide oversight and direction to a team of tax specialists in the delivery of tax services.
• Initiate and present effective tax planning strategies for a diverse range of middle market clients.
• Research and report on trends and developments concerning complex domestic and international tax issues.
• Build existing and new client relationships.

Requirements

• CPA certification required.
• Minimum of five to seven years of experience in public accounting.
• Heavy experience with tax review.
• Broad experience with taxation including Individual, Partnership, S-Corp, C-Corp, and High Net Worth (HNW) taxation.
• Two years of experience as a tax manager is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Trusts & Estates taxation is a plus.
