About the position

The Manager role at Simon Lever is designed for a trusted advisor who provides exceptional client service, particularly in tax and accounting within the Construction industry. This position emphasizes collaboration with a resourceful team to deliver strategic tax counsel and problem-solving solutions for clients. Responsibilities

  • Maintain and build strong client relationships to understand their business and goals.
  • Work directly with Construction clients to find creative solutions to complex accounting, tax, and business challenges.
  • Align Construction and Tax expertise to support client and firm needs.
  • Lead and plan client engagements to provide dynamic service.
  • Advise on tax, accounting, and business strategies to help clients maximize success.
  • Connect business clients with internal or external expertise as needed.
  • Delegate and oversee work efforts by setting goals and providing resources.
  • Mentor and coach team members on growth, development, and performance.

Requirements

  • 5-8+ years of public accounting experience focusing on accounting, individual, business, partnership, and corporate tax in the Construction industry.
  • CPA certification with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
  • Experience overseeing accounting, tax, and related work in a public accounting environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop others.
  • Driven to meet or exceed personal charge hours and help direct others in efficiency and productivity.
  • Creative critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and follow processes.
  • Technical proficiency in MS Office, tax and accounting software, and ability to learn new software.
