Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of the company's tax function, including federal, state, and international tax compliance and planning.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, estimated tax payments, and other tax-related filings.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position.
  • Provide technical tax advice on complex financial transactions and products.
  • Collaborate virtually and in-person with various departments to ensure tax implications are considered in business decisions.
  • Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations, assessing their impact on the organization.
  • Manage relationships with tax authorities, external auditors, and tax advisors through various communication channels.
  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support in both remote and in-office settings.
  • Prepare and present tax-related reports and analyses for senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree in Taxation preferred.
  • CPA or equivalent professional qualification required.
  • 6-8 years of progressive experience in tax, with at least 4 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and tax accounting principles.
  • Experience in the financial services industry, with knowledge of tax issues related to banking, investments, or insurance products.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities, both virtually and in-person.
  • Proficiency in tax software and MS Office suite.
  • Adaptability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.

  • Knowledge of transfer pricing regulations.
