The Tax Managing Director in Private Client Services at BDO is a leadership role focused on providing high-quality tax compliance and consulting services to high net-worth clients. Responsibilities

• Leads tax and consulting engagements and teaches team members to identify and address client needs.
• Acts as the primary client contact for preparation and presentation of issues and resolutions.
• Reviews complex tax returns and provides feedback to preparers.
• Directs communication with government agencies on complex matters.
• Identifies technical issues and conducts advanced tax research.
• Develops recommendations for leadership, clients, and advisors.
• Prioritizes and reviews work to keep engagements on track.
• Utilizes analytical and critical thinking skills to assist with client needs.
• Assists with firm contribution responsibilities including billing and recruiting.
• Builds and maintains relationships with BDO professionals and external sources.
• Supervises associates and provides performance feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics required; Master's degree preferred.
• Ten or more years of experience in accounting, finance, or law required.
• Expertise in private client services required.
• Prior supervisory experience required.
• Experience in public accounting preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant or equivalent credential required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat required.
