Responsibilities

  • Client onboarding and document collection.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure all necessary information is gathered.
  • Manage internal workflows related to tax preparation.
  • Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals and businesses.
  • Engage with high-value clients to optimize their account setups.
  • Lead and support a team in tax-related tasks using Uplinq's technology solutions.
  • Onboard companies to ensure readiness for tax preparation.
  • Communicate intricate tax and accounting data clearly to clients.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of tax preparation experience, preferably with multi-client exposure.
  • Active CPA or EA certification is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related fields preferred.
  • Proficiency in tax software such as Drake, ProSeries, or Lacerte.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Sharefile and QuickBooks Online (QBO).
  • Experience in training teams on policy changes.
  • Ability to design and implement chart of account setups.
