We seek a Partner in our Tax Practice who will be responsible for growing and serving Industrial & Consumer Goods clients in our Atlanta practice. This highly visible position offers excellent training, development, and professional growth. Limited travel in this region should be expected. Relocation assistance may be offered.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team that provides federal and state tax compliance and consulting services to middle-market companies across the manufacturing, distribution, and consumer goods industries.
- Act as a role model to provide coaching, mentoring, and training in the development of managers and staff.
- Contribute to expanding the practice by using a strong professional network to identify and win new opportunities.
- Develop and promote new ideas and business solutions to attract new clients and expand services to existing clients.
- Engage in business development and community-based events/opportunities with other firm leaders.
Requirements
- Must have an active CPA license.
- Previous experience in business taxation for a Big 4, large national, or regional accounting firm.
- Focus on providing federal corporate (C and S) and multi-state tax-related compliance and consulting services to large middle market clients.
- Technical ASC 740 experience including expertise in corporate tax compliance, planning, and provision.
- Experience in corporate international tax compliance, planning, structuring matters, and knowledge of foreign reporting requirements.
- Tax compliance & consulting experience related to M&A structuring, planning, and reporting.
- Experience developing strategy and plans to grow a practice through expansion of services and obtaining new clients.
- Experience utilizing content marketing, social media, and other means to demonstrate and share tax thought leadership.
