As our firm expands, we're ranked 1st as the 'Fastest Growing Firms in the U.S. 2024' by Accounting Today, we have an opportunity for an experienced tax partner looking to make an impact in our South Florida practice. Located in Coral Gables or Ft. Lauderdale, FL, we seek someone who will help grow and lead our $18m South Florida tax practice and be a service partner to their own client base. Relocation assistance may be provided and limited travel should be expected. This experienced tax partner will collaborate with the South Florida Tax partners to drive regional growth and deliver quality service to our clients. In this role, you will help coach and lead the local partners and associates to deliver quality client service, drive operational results, coach and develop professionals, and grow the practice through business development efforts and expansion of services to existing clients. Previous service line, market, or industry leadership experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently grow the practice through expansion of services to existing clients, cross selling with other advisory practices, and obtaining new clients.
  • Execute the Firm and Tax Service Line vision, strategy, and goals for the South Florida tax practice.
  • Ensure discipline around execution of Service Line business processes and Firm business practices for the market.
  • Help manage the utilization and productivity of professionals in the market to achieve operational and financial targets.
  • Utilize leadership skills, acting as a role model, to provide coaching, mentoring, and training in the development of partners and professionals within the practice and build a talent pipeline with the requisite technical expertise.

Requirements

  • Active CPA and/or JD license; MST or LLM is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience as a tax partner working for a Big 4, large national, or regional accounting firm with a demonstrated record of having provided leadership, client service, and business expansion.
  • Experience with developing the strategy and plans to grow a practice through expansion of services to existing clients and obtaining new clients.
  • Exceptional client service skills leading to the highest quality of execution and delivery of client engagements.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and empower people and teams.
  • Ability to drive success (results) through the influencing of Partners (behaviors).
  • Excellent and enthusiastic ability to build and maintain relationships, engage others, and establish connections.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Industry experience in Real Estate, Private Equity, Technology/ Life Sciences, Industrials/Consumer Goods, or similar.
  • International experience is a plus.
