About the position

The Accountant/Tax Preparer position at a well-established Certified Public Accounting firm in Pompano Beach, FL, is a part-time, temporary role primarily focused on tax preparation. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in public accounting and be responsible for preparing various tax returns, including corporate and individual returns. This in-person position requires a commitment to working during the busy tax season.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Corporate tax returns (1120/1120S/1065)
• Prepare individual tax returns
• Assist with estate and trust tax returns (preferred but not required)
• Prepare not-for-profit tax returns (preferred but not required)
• Utilize Ultra Tax software for tax preparation

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years public accounting experience
• Experience working for an accounting firm or tax preparation company
• Valid CPA license preferred
• Experience in tax preparation

Nice-to-haves

• Experience preparing estate and trust tax returns
• Experience preparing not-for-profit tax returns
• Familiarity with Ultra Tax software
