About the position

Bushman Accounting is seeking a dedicated Tax Preparer, Enrolled Agent, or CPA to join our growing firm in Springville, UT. This full-time position involves preparing various tax returns and engaging in accounting projects throughout the year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and tax preparation, with a focus on providing excellent client service and maintaining a flexible work schedule to accommodate busy tax seasons.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual, partnership, S-corporation, and trust tax returns.
• Assist clients with reconciling their balance sheets during the tax preparation process.
• Oversee the tax process from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding outstanding questions and tax planning opportunities.
• Ensure final journal entries are posted and reconciled in the client's accounting system.
• Engage in monthly/quarterly accounting oversight and specialized financial projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred)
• Master's degree in Accounting (preferred)
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification (preferred)
• Minimum of 1 year of tax experience
• Experience with UltraTax and QuickBooks is a plus
• Ability to work a minimum of 40+ hours during busy tax seasons (January - April and August - October)
