Responsibilities
- Enter personal client data and financial information into tax preparation software.
- Prepare tax returns in accordance with firm policies, ensuring information is accurately represented.
- Adhere to the firm's written tax practice standards and the firm's 1040 procedure manual.
- Ensure client confidentiality by following all company procedures regarding information handling.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Individual tax return preparation experience ideal, but not required.
- Knowledge of basic accounting concepts involved in tax return preparation preferred.
- Adaptable to new technology and ability to work in a paperless environment.
- Keen sense of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and well-developed problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic Excel skills required.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat preferred.
- Ability to obtain PTIN during initial onboarding and training weeks.
- Availability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week Monday-Friday between the hours 8am-8pm your local time.
