About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team for the seasonal tax period from January through mid-April. This full-time position is essential in assisting clients with their tax preparation needs, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws while maximizing their financial benefits. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax regulations and experience in financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Analyze financial information to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
• Utilize accounting software, including QuickBooks, to manage client accounts effectively.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding their tax situations.
• Stay updated on the latest tax laws and changes to ensure accurate filings.

Requirements

• Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting is preferred.
• Proficiency in financial software and accounting software, including QuickBooks.
• Strong mathematical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Relevant certifications or education in accounting or finance are advantageous.
