About the position

As a Tax Preparer, you will be responsible for starting and completing personal and small business tax returns. This role involves informing clients about the tax preparation process and collecting relevant financial records, such as pay stubs and income statements. You will input data from these financial records into tax return software or databases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local tax laws. Your expertise will help determine deductions and calculate how much each client will pay or earn on their tax return. Additionally, you will complete and file tax documents with the appropriate agencies, including the IRS and state and local government entities. In some cases, you may act as a representative for clients with these agencies as required. Building strong customer relationships is essential in this role, as it promotes and expands the business. You will need to demonstrate management knowledge and maintain a dependable and detail-oriented approach to your work. Responsibilities

  • Starting and completing an entire personal/small business tax return.

  • Building customer relationships to promote and expand the business.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
  • 3 years of tax experience (Required).
  • 3 years of customer service experience (Required).
  • PTIN license (Required).
