About the position

We are seeking a Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) Tax Preparer to join our team. This full-time position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of tax regulations and financial concepts. The Tax Preparer will assist clients in accurately preparing their tax returns while ensuring compliance with tax laws and providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file tax returns for individuals and businesses, including forms 1040, SCH C, 1120, 1120S, 1065, and 990/990EZ.
• Analyze financial information, including income, expenses, and deductions, to ensure accurate reporting.
• Utilize financial software to streamline the preparation process.
• Review clients' financial records and documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to provide informed advice to clients.
• Assist clients with inquiries regarding their tax situations and provide guidance on financial concepts.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information while adhering to ethical standards.
• Perform data entry tasks efficiently using 10 key typing skills.

Requirements

• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Proven experience as a Tax Preparer or similar role is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Proficiency in financial software, including completing 1099 forms and EIN applications.
• Solid understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of sales tax regulations is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective client interaction.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple client accounts efficiently.
