About the position

Intuit is seeking Tax Experts for the upcoming tax season. This position offers the opportunity to work 100% remotely, allowing you to collaborate with an exceptional team from the comfort of your home or office. As a Tax Expert, you will be responsible for assisting clients in completing their taxes using Intuit TurboTax products. This includes providing tax advice, full-service return preparation, tax calculations, and managing product/software inquiries. You will utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to deliver accurate answers to customers in a clear and understandable manner. Your role will be customer-facing, requiring you to interact with clients through state-of-the-art video communication software, ensuring a professional, friendly, and confident demeanor throughout all interactions. You will also be responsible for documenting these interactions to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Help customers complete their taxes using Intuit TurboTax products.
• Provide tax advice and full-service return preparation.
• Perform tax calculations and manage product/software inquiries.
• Utilize government websites and professional resources to deliver accurate answers to customers.
• Interact with customers through video and audio tools in a professional manner.
• Document customer interactions to maintain accurate records.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns.
• Active, unrestricted credential: EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney.
• Strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws.
• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
• Excellent customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience using commercial tax preparation software.
• Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
