About the position
As a tax professional, you will be responsible for conducting tax interviews with clients both face-to-face and through various virtual tools such as video, phone, chat, and email. Your primary duties will include preparing complete and accurate tax returns, generating business growth, increasing client retention, and offering additional products and services. You will also provide clients with IRS support and, depending on your certification level, may offer tax notice services and audit representation. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor and support your teammates, contributing to a collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools - video, phone, chat, email
- Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
- Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
- Provide clients with IRS support
- All certification levels can provide tax notice services
- Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation
- Mentor and support teammates
Requirements
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
- Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
- Experience completing individual returns
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort working with virtual tools - video, phone and chat
- Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
- Must complete 10 hour continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
- High school diploma / equivalent or higher
