About the position
The position involves providing expert legal analysis and support across Bloomberg Industry Group's Tax platforms. The role focuses on conducting research, identifying client needs, and recommending additional resources to enhance client effectiveness and success. The individual will be part of a dedicated support team available 24/7, offering technical assistance, research support, and training on Bloomberg Law and Bloomberg Tax platforms.
Responsibilities
- Provides phone, e-mail, live chat, and in-person assistance to Bloomberg Industry Group's clients.
- Conducts project-based work.
- Prepares and conducts subject-matter specific webinars, and maintains customer assistance screens on the website.
- Conducts presentations in front of large and small audiences, both internal and external.
- Teaches professionals how to navigate online services critical to success.
- Coordinates with and supports Bloomberg Industry Group teams including Research & Development and Client Success.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of a broad base of legal and financial issues including legal research experience.
- Strong focus on tax and accounting research, with fluency around issues and terminology of the tax industry.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and to thrive in a high-energy atmosphere.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to learn new computer software quickly and is comfortable with technology.
- Ability to work closely with colleagues in a large group setting.
- High comfort level interacting and assisting customers who represent a wide cross section of the legal industry.
- Flexibility in work schedule including weekends and holidays.
Nice-to-haves
- Juris Doctor (JD) preferred.
- Minimum 2+ years related experience.
- Tax/Accounting-focused studies and/or experience.
- Bloomberg Terminal/Financial experience a plus.
- MLS/MILS or professional legal experience required.
