About The Position

The Tax Senior Analyst, AVP Custody Tax Information Reporting at Citi is responsible for managing and executing the Tax Information Reporting process, ensuring compliance with tax documentation requirements such as FATCA and CRS. This role involves leading tax form preparation, acting as a subject matter expert, and serving as a liaison between Custody and key stakeholders. The position requires strong organizational skills, project management experience, and the ability to resolve complex tax-related issues while adhering to regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in tax information reporting.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Well versed in U.S. tax information reporting rules applicable to U.S. Persons and non-U.S. Persons.
• Good working knowledge of IRS series 1099 and 1042-s forms, form 945, Forms W-9 and W-8.
• Knowledge of Income Sourcing rules and FATCA regulations.
• Project Management experience and strong organizational skills required.
• Must be eligible to work in the US.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Process Re-engineering and Process Automation.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Adobe Acrobat DC, Visio, and Access.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute functions from the Tax Information Reporting process tree.
• Lead the tax form preparation process and review tax information forms.
• Maintain and govern legal entity compliance with tax documentation requirements.
• Act as a team leader and execute operational and project initiatives.
• Serve as a subject matter expert recognized internally and externally.
• Develop best practices and implement procedures to ensure compliance with FATCA and CRS requirements.
• Liaise between Custody and key stakeholders.
• Support internal and tax authority audits.
• Contribute to departmental adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Review tax policy and procedures, and respond to inquiries from operational areas.
• Resolve complex problems or transactions requiring expertise in policies and guidelines.
• Direct day-to-day work of junior level employees.
