About the position

The Tax Senior Analyst position at EY focuses on providing dedicated tax technical services to both US and global clients within the Financial Services Organization (FSO). This role involves working independently to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax returns, tax research, and tax accounting projects, while also mentoring junior team members and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax developments.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently to identify and address problem areas in tax returns and projects.
  • Lead the preparation and review of moderately complex tax/accounting regulatory and compliance tasks with limited supervision.
  • Perform and document research and analysis on accounting and tax issues.
  • Guide and mentor team members on moderately complex tax projects.
  • Prepare or detail review complex financial closings and tax compliance filings.
  • Compile and evaluate moderately complex data and documentation for tax and accounting processes.
  • Ensure service quality across identified aspects of delivery and understand opportunity risk.
  • Develop and document processes to support internal teams and cross-functional alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Tax, Law, or Economics.
  • 4 - 6 years of increasingly diverse or moderately complex experience in related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with financial and tax applications such as GoSystems, CorpTax, and Onesource.

Nice-to-haves

  • CPA, EA, licensed attorney, Project Management Professional, or Six Sigma Black Belt.
