About the position

As a Tax Senior Associate at Eide Bailly, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients with the transition of wealth across generations. This position involves preparing fiduciary, estate, and gift tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and collaborating with the tax and wealth transition team to maximize tax benefits for clients. You will also engage in professional development and maintain effective communication with clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to gather relevant tax-related information for accurate tax return preparation.
• Prepare fiduciary, estate, and gift tax returns by required deadlines.
• Collaborate with the tax and wealth transition team to ensure all components of the tax process are performed.
• Analyze the tax situation of individuals and their estates to apply maximum tax benefits.
• Work with the national Wealth Transition Services team on various projects.
• Attend professional development and training seminars regularly.
• Interact effectively with all levels of staff, clients, and external business contacts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Valid CPA license or working towards obtaining a CPA license (preferred); Enrolled Agent (EA) certification also accepted.
• 3 or more years of experience in public accounting tax work, including experience with gift, trust, and estate tax returns.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Up-to-date knowledge of tax industry regulations and policies.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to identify issues and propose solutions.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
