About the position

As a Tax Senior in EY's Business Tax Services, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored tax and financial planning services to a diverse portfolio of high-growth private companies. This position focuses on compliance and planning for flow-through entities, particularly partnerships, and aims to develop you into a trusted advisor while offering opportunities for career progression within a supportive and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for U.S. partnerships, including foreign reporting requirements.
• Provide tax research, draft tax memoranda, and assist in quantitative modeling for private client tax advisory services.
• Identify and communicate significant tax matters to Managers and Senior Managers.
• Develop relationships with other service lines and subject matter professionals.
• Build effective long-term relationships with clients to understand their unique needs.
• Communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients.
• Maintain technical knowledge and best practices in the field.
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of tax professionals, reviewing their work and ensuring they have the necessary tools and opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with tax, business, or financial planning experience.
• Active progress towards CPA certification or membership in The Bar.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in professional services or a professional tax organization.
• Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with tax software such as RIA, CCH IntelliConnect, OneSource, BNA, or Lexis Nexis.
