About the position

The Tax Senior position is a critical role within our firm, focusing on delivering high-quality tax-related services to a diverse clientele, particularly in the real estate sector. This position requires a deep understanding of tax regulations and the ability to navigate complex tax scenarios. The Tax Senior will collaborate closely with the Tax Manager and other team members to ensure that all tax returns are prepared accurately and submitted in a timely manner, adhering to all compliance requirements. In this role, the Tax Senior will be responsible for preparing and reviewing complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships. This includes not only the technical aspects of tax preparation but also providing strategic tax planning and consulting services to clients. The ability to research and interpret tax laws and regulations is essential, as is the capacity to assist clients during tax audits and respond to notices from tax authorities. Effective communication is key in this position, as the Tax Senior will need to interact with clients to gather necessary information and address any inquiries they may have regarding their tax situations. Additionally, this role involves supervising and mentoring junior tax staff, fostering their development and ensuring that they are equipped to handle their responsibilities. Collaboration with other departments, such as accounting and IT, is also a vital part of the job, as it allows for the delivery of integrated tax solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • CPA certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and planning

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
