The Tax Senior position at Sikich LLC involves overseeing multiple client engagements, focusing on tax planning and compliance, and providing comprehensive business solutions. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the efforts of multiple client engagements, including supervising tax planning and business succession planning engagements.
  • Review tax return compliance including forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, and 1041.
  • Consult with partners, businesses, and individual tax clients on various matters.
  • Collaborate with CPA and Advisory and Technology service team members to provide comprehensive business solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key client sponsors and grow the client base.
  • Develop workforce through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring all levels of staff.
  • Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for all levels of staff.
  • Assist partners and senior leaders with generating new business opportunities and building client networks and relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to better serve clients with comprehensive solutions.
  • Contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining, and training team members.
  • Ensure professional development through ongoing education.
  • Provide thoughtful leadership and insightful recommendations surrounding complex issues.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or EA Certification (or in progress toward certification) preferred.
  • 3+ years' current public accounting experience.
  • 1+ years' experience leading teams, coaching, and mentoring staff.
  • Experience with tax compliance including review of Form 1040, 1120, 1120-S, and 1065 tax returns.
  • Proficiency with computerized tax software & Microsoft Office.
  • Strong client rapport & project management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership, recruiting, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable working in a remote environment.
