The Tax Supervisor position at ProPivotal offers a unique opportunity to lead tax engagements in a dynamic CPA firm environment. The position operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring in-office presence on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, while allowing for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. This flexibility is aimed at promoting a healthy work-life balance while ensuring that team collaboration and client interactions remain effective. As a Tax Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing tax engagements, ensuring compliance with both firm and professional standards. You will plan and schedule these engagements, working closely with clients and internal resources to deliver high-quality service. Building and maintaining strong client relationships is a key aspect of this role, as is the ability to review tax returns and work papers meticulously. You will also conduct tax research projects, communicate project statuses to clients and team members, and provide training and supervision to junior staff. To succeed in this position, you will need to maintain technical expertise in various tax areas, which is essential for guiding your team and ensuring the accuracy of tax filings. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively, all while meeting deadlines. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • BSBA in accounting
  • CPA credentials and/or advanced degree highly preferred
  • 5 to 8 years of public accounting experience
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Excel, ProSystem fx Tax
