About the position

As a Tax Transfer Pricing Senior Associate at Grant Thornton, you will play a crucial role in providing a comprehensive range of tax and transfer pricing services to a diverse clientele across various industries. This position emphasizes collaboration with team members globally to address complex business challenges, ensuring high-quality service delivery. You will be empowered through formal and experiential training to develop a robust technical skill set and business acumen, enabling you to lead client engagements effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead client engagements from start to finish, including planning, executing, directing, and completing tax and transfer pricing projects while managing budgets.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on tax and transfer pricing projects, assessing their performance during engagement reviews.
  • Evaluate and advise clients on inter-company transfers of tangible goods, intangible property, services, and loans, conducting financial and economic analyses.
  • Prepare and analyze financial and economic data for tax and regulatory compliance using MS Word, Excel, Access, and various statistical sampling packages.
  • Proactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve tax- and transfer pricing-related issues, and recommend business improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of two years of progressive tax and transfer pricing experience in public accounting, consulting, or academia.
  • CPA, active law license, or CFA preferred.
  • Strong experience in strategic transfer pricing studies, financial statement analysis, valuations, quantitative and competitive analysis, and econometrics.
  • Strong tax accounting skills with proficiency in U.S. GAAP.
  • Computer expertise including knowledge of tax software and technology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
