About the position
The Wrapper position at Arhaus involves preparing the final product for shipping to ensure it is not damaged during transit. This role is essential in the shipping department, where the individual will work primarily in a heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant. The Wrapper will be responsible for using a heat gun to wrap furniture and assist in various stages of the shrink wrap tunnel, as well as loading trucks as needed. The position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Prepare finished products for shipping using a heat gun to wrap furniture.
- Assist at various stages of the shrink wrap tunnel to wrap the product.
- Assist in loading of trucks as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Requirements
- Manufacturing experience is required.
- Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to read an order ticket.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Strict attention to detail is a must.
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
- Must be able to work weekends and overtime.
- Must be reliable.
- Strong English language skills in reading, comprehending, speaking, and writing are required.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in furniture manufacturing is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
