About the position

Mallard Creek High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Art Teacher for grades 7-12 for the 2024-2025 academic year. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a creative and engaging learning environment that encourages students to explore their artistic talents and develop their skills in various art forms. The Art Teacher will design and implement a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with state standards and promotes critical thinking, creativity, and self-expression among students. The Art Teacher will collaborate with other educators to integrate art into the broader educational experience, ensuring that students understand the importance of art in culture and society. This role requires a commitment to student development, as well as the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of learners. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in school events, exhibitions, and community outreach programs to promote the arts and engage students and families in the artistic process. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the Art Teacher will assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of student performance. The position requires strong communication skills, creativity, and a passion for teaching art to middle and high school students. The Art Teacher will also be responsible for managing classroom behavior and creating a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
