About the position

The Afterschool Art Teacher position at Crescent Elementary is designed for an individual who will lead art classes for students in an afterschool program. This role requires a commitment of 5 hours per week and aims to foster creativity and artistic expression among students in a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach art classes to students in an afterschool setting.
• Develop lesson plans that engage students and promote creativity.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback on their artistic development.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the afterschool program.

Requirements

• A valid California Single Subject Art teaching credential is required.
• An English Learner Authorization is required.
• Applicants with out-of-state teaching credentials will be considered.
• Intern-qualified candidates will also be considered.
• Non-credentialed applicants must obtain a Certificate of Clearance (COC) if moved forward for the position.
