About the position

The Art Teacher position at Worcester Public Schools is a full-time role responsible for delivering high-quality art instruction to elementary students. Responsibilities

• Remain up to date regarding curriculum content.
• Plan and assess curriculum and instruction effectively.
• Mentor students' understanding of the curriculum and adjust instruction as needed.
• Manage the classroom environment effectively.
• Provide clear learning goals and use appropriate instructional techniques.
• Utilize innovative approaches and technologies to enhance student learning.
• Promote high standards and expectations for student achievement.
• Ensure equity and appreciation of diversity in learning opportunities.
• Assure equal educational opportunity for all individuals regardless of background.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Massachusetts DESE licensure in Visual Arts Pre-K - 6
• SEI Endorsement
• Bachelor's degree

Nice-to-haves

• Teaching experience in the content area
• Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs
• Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, or an African Language
