About the position

The Art Teacher position at Worcester Public Schools is a full-time role responsible for delivering high-quality art instruction to a diverse group of elementary students. Responsibilities

• Provide rigorous instruction aligned with district and state curriculum.
• Regularly assess students for learning comprehension and modify teaching as needed.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning for all students.
• Mentor students in understanding the curriculum and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Manage the classroom effectively to promote a positive learning environment.
• Use innovative instructional strategies and technologies to enhance student learning.

Requirements

• Massachusetts DESE licensure in Visual Arts Pre-K - 6
• SEI Endorsement
• Bachelor's degree

Nice-to-haves

• Teaching experience in the content area
• Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs
• Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, or an African Language
