About the position
Montessori School in Davie, Florida is seeking both part-time and full-time Teaching Assistants and After School Counselors to join our team. We are committed to providing a nurturing and enriching environment for children. Our ideal candidates must be passionate about working with children and dedicated to their growth and well-being. This year-round position involves assisting teaching staff in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children of various age groups. Candidates must be flexible and willing to work with different age groups, including toddlers and elementary students. In this role, you will support classroom activities, supervise children, and maintain a positive learning atmosphere. Responsibilities also include participating in school camps, including summer camp, and working aftercare hours as needed. For those working with toddlers or early childhood students, completion of the 40-hour mandatory training required by the Florida Department of Children and Families is necessary, along with CPR certification. For positions with elementary students, CPR certification is required, but the 40-hour training is not mandatory. Requirements
