The Teacher Assistant for Early 2's at Central New Mexico Community College plays a crucial role in supporting the lead teacher in the planning and implementation of a daily bilingual curriculum at the SFCC Kids Campus. They will also help set up materials and equipment for daily activities, ensuring that each child is involved and safe. Daily tasks include maintaining sanitation procedures, supervising children during routines, preparing meals, and assisting with diaper changes and potty training. The Teacher Assistant will also be responsible for preparing children for outdoor play and supervising them on the playground. Additionally, they will assist with home visits for Early Pre-K/Pre-K children and support the lead teacher in data collection and assessments. The role requires effective communication with families, compliance with NAEYC, ECECD, CACFP, and other licensing requirements, and the ability to fulfill lead teacher responsibilities in their absence.
