The Teacher Assistant for K-12 (ESE) at Olsen Middle School in Dania, FL, is dedicated to providing high-quality instructional support to students in Broward County. Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of instructional programs for students with exceptionalities.
• Support teachers in managing classroom activities and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers as needed.
• Help students with their academic work in reading, language arts, writing, and mathematics.
• Facilitate small group instruction and provide individualized support to students.
• Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and classroom resources.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance instructional skills.

Requirements

• Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program.
• A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience working with children preferred.
• Successful completion of the Teacher Assisting Curriculum at a designated technical college in the Broward County School District.
• Passing score on the Para Pro Assessment Test or other officially sanctioned standard tests to demonstrate instructional assistance capabilities.
• Basic computer skills.
