About the position

The Teacher Assistant (TA) position is designed to support classroom teachers in providing a conducive learning environment for students. In addition to direct support to teachers and students, the Teacher Assistant will be involved in administrative tasks such as recording attendance, grading assignments, and preparing reports as required. The TA will collaborate with teachers to develop lesson plans and may also participate in professional development opportunities to enhance their skills and effectiveness in the classroom. Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers in preparing instructional materials and resources.

Requirements

• Minimum of 48 semester hours of college coursework or an associate degree or higher.
• Must have taken and passed the ACT WORKKEYS assessment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Patience and understanding when working with students.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working in an educational setting.
