About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to support our educators in creating a nurturing and effective learning environment for children. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers to facilitate classroom activities, assist with lesson plans, and provide individualized support to students, particularly those with special needs. This role is essential in fostering a positive educational experience for all children, including toddlers and preschoolers.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in preparing classroom materials and organizing learning activities.
• Support students in their daily tasks, ensuring they understand instructions and stay engaged.
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote a positive classroom environment.
• Provide individualized attention to children with special education needs, helping them achieve their learning goals.
• Help maintain a clean and organized classroom space conducive to learning.
• Supervise children during playtime and other activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a classroom setting or daycare environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with special education practices is highly desirable.
• Experience in toddler care or infant care is a plus.
• Strong skills in behavior management and classroom management techniques are essential.
• A background in nannying or preschool education will be beneficial for this role.
