About the position

The Teacher Elementary - Grade 3 position at Gwinnett County Public Schools involves planning and delivering educational experiences for third-grade students. Responsibilities

• Plan appropriate learning experiences based on the district AKS curriculum.
• Demonstrate command of the subject being taught.
• Develop instructional objectives based on district AKS curriculum.
• Evaluate, select, and modify resources and activities for effective instruction.
• Communicate specific learning objectives to students and link content to their prior knowledge.
• Organize content for lesson presentation in a logical sequence.
• Utilize effective instructional strategies and methods for student learning.
• Provide formative and summative assessments to measure student progress and achievement.
• Organize the learning environment to maximize student engagement and time on task.
• Maintain behavior conducive to learning and manage classroom dynamics effectively.
• Participate in professional growth and learning activities to enhance instructional skills.
• Maintain professional responsibilities and act as a role model for students.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in applicable field of education from a PSC approved college or university.
• Meets Georgia certification requirements in appropriate field of education.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GCPS AKS curriculum and effective instructional practices.
• Ability to integrate technology into instruction to enhance student learning.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
