About the position
The Elementary Education Teacher at Atlantic Community Charter School (ACCS) is responsible for educating students in grades K-8 within a supportive and results-driven academic environment. The role focuses on empowering students as learners, fostering a strong partnership with parents, and developing essential academic, social, and emotional skills to prepare students for future academic and career success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Assess and evaluate student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student learning and development.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
Requirements
- Valid NJ State Certification as an Elementary Teacher.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Elementary Education or a related discipline.
- Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels is preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Master's degree in a related area preferred.
- Experience in teaching for at least 1 year.
