About the position

The Teacher - Foreign Language - Spanish position at Mountain Ridge Middle School involves teaching and instructing students in academic subject matter, particularly in the Spanish language, under the supervision of the Principal and/or Assistant Principal. The role requires the teacher to plan, develop, organize, implement, and assess a comprehensive educational program tailored to the needs of students. This includes not only academic instruction but also addressing social, behavioral, and other educational skill areas. The teacher is expected to create a supportive and flexible learning environment that fosters personal growth and encourages students to reach their academic potential. In this role, the teacher will maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development, preparing required reports on students and activities. Managing student behavior in the classroom is a critical responsibility, which involves establishing and enforcing rules and procedures, maintaining discipline in accordance with school policies, and applying appropriate disciplinary measures when necessary. The teacher will also participate in various school programs, including student support, counseling, and extracurricular activities such as clubs and sporting events. The position requires the teacher to plan, organize, and implement an instructional program that guides and encourages students to develop their academic skills. The teacher will utilize new teaching methods and educational tools in a dynamic environment, preparing and delivering instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences. Additionally, the teacher will integrate technology into the curriculum, providing a variety of learning materials and resources, and will be responsible for observing, evaluating, and providing feedback on students' performance and development.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development, preparing required reports on students and activities.
  • Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures, maintaining discipline in accordance with school rules, and applying appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary.
  • Participate in student support, counseling students with academic problems, and supporting extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs, and student organizations.
  • Plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.
  • Utilize new teaching methods and educational tools in an ever-changing environment, planning, preparing, and delivering instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
  • Integrate technology into the curriculum to provide a variety of learning materials and resources, instructing and monitoring students in the use of these materials and equipment, and providing feedback on their performance and development.

Requirements
