About the position

The J. Turner Hood Elementary School is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Teacher for Grade 1, covering the anticipated period from October 8, 2024, through January 31, 2025. This position is crucial in providing continuity in education for students during this time. Collaboration with the Grade 1 team is essential to maintain pacing and learning expectations, ensuring that all students receive a consistent and high-quality educational experience. Additional duties may be assigned by the Building Principal as necessary. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education teaching license in Early Childhood, Grades PreK-2, or teaching license in Elementary, Grades 1-6
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative working demeanor
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
