The teacher will ensure compliance with all department policies, division procedures, Head Start Program Performance Standards, Child-Care Licensing Minimum Standards, and other local, state, and federal regulations. Developing and implementing lesson plans and individualized goals based on the curriculum is a key responsibility, along with conducting ongoing assessments to support individual instruction, monitor progress, and share information with parents. The teacher will maintain adequate supervision to ensure the health, welfare, and safety of the children, conduct semi-annual home visits, and hold parent-teacher conferences to discuss each child's individual progress. Collaboration with parents, colleagues, and community partners is essential to support HCDE Head Start's school readiness goals for children, families, and the community.
