About the position

Palmetto Christian Daycare is seeking experienced early childhood teachers who are passionate about working with children of all age groups. The role involves developing lesson plans, maintaining a structured yet flexible learning environment, and ensuring the safety and well-being of students. Teachers will be responsible for fostering a positive and engaging atmosphere while adhering to compliance regulations and maintaining communication with parents.

Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans following monthly themes, values, and goals.
• Maintain a consistent schedule while being flexible to adapt to children's needs.
• Observe each child to support their learning and self-esteem.
• Encourage appropriate interaction among children according to discipline policies.
• Facilitate nap and snack times while ensuring children's safety.
• Follow DSS compliance regulations and PCD standards during weekly checks.
• Utilize technology to track student progress and communicate with parents.
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom in line with health and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with teammates.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in early childhood education is preferred.
• Ability to relocate to Johns Island, SC before starting work.
